michael-hornOn Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm Eastern, iNACOL will present a Leadership Webinar featuring Michael Horn, Co-founder and Executive Director of Education at the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation. Michael will discuss his latest book, Blended: Using Disruptive Innovation to Improve Schools, and highlight how school leaders and teachers can design learning environments to harness innovation toward personalization, access and equity at scale to unleash student engagement, and dramatically improve student achievement.

“Blended: Using Disruptive Innovation to Improve Schools”, which Horn coauthored with Heather Staker, is a practical field guide for implementing blended learning techniques in K-12 classrooms. The book provides practical implementation guidance for educators seeking to incorporate online learning with traditional classroom time. Michael will discuss a step-by-step framework upon which to build a more student-centered system, along with essential advice that provides the expertise necessary to build the next generation of K-12 learning environments. Leaders, teachers, and other stakeholders will gain valuable insight into the process of using online learning to the greatest benefit of students, while avoiding missteps and potential pitfalls.
